These four Johnson Bros Rose Chintz square salad plates are about 7 5/8 inches across (8 1/2 inches corner to corner). Rose Chintz pattern has a main pinkish/red rose with many small flowers on an off white background. Bottoms have: A Genuine Hand Engraving Rose Chintz Made In England by Johnson Bros All Decorations Under The Glaze Permanent & Acid Resisting Color Pat. No. 160,783. These have no chips, cracks or crazing. One plate has darker pink and is slightly thicker than other three (see photos). These have light center short utensil marks more noticeable when held at an angle to light.
